after all the effort i've put in it's great to know it paid off.. this applies to usc floorball on sat and paper2. carrying 16 floorball sticks and balls around, playing and sweating hard, making new friends. spending i cant even remember how many hours, days and weeks on paper 2. now it's the last lap.. paper 3!
after researching for days, reading up for days, writing for days, and editting it manymanymany times..
ok i think im going abt crazy after working on it the whole day ytd and today but
at least i have a thesis which i'm quite happy with for now (but that ALWAYS changes after conferencing). i wonder if im abit ambitious doing something knowledge based. but anw it was a long and tiring but fulfilling journey. we'll see how it goes!! i always enjoyed writing, and even though writing mod made me hate it at some point i'm glad to say i survived and emerged stronger haha

this unveils my thesis :O

Hence, I will proceed to show in my essay that by downplaying the effects of nuclear war, there was an attempt by the government to replace widespread nuclear terror with a controlled and prudent nuclear fear, such that this rationally controlled anxiety can be defeated by systematic civil defence discipline. In doing so, there is a subtle attempt at realigning family life around national security priorities, hence suggesting the militarization of domesticity. Furthermore, the shift in the protection of America's national security away from the government and towards the household also signifies a movement of responsibility of national defence away from the military or soldier and towards the household or civilian; families, and not the state, are now the practitioners of Cold War militarization.
